This is a very sensitive report about the brutal damage created by the flooding caused by Hurricane Helene in the USA.
At least 110 people died from the impact of Helene, among them a young mother with her one-month-old twins in their house in Georgia (https://www.politico.com/news/2024/09/29/hurricane-helene-widespread-destruction-south-00181569).
It’s correct to say that such terrible “accidents” will always happen, and we cannot prevent them completely. I agree on that, but we can reduce significantly the likelihood and strength of such terrible and unimaginable events by transitioning faster to green energies, as we do so far all over the world.
